>>3419260>>3419262>>3419320Guys, I got a similar reaction on a previous thread and I thought it was just trolling. If this is a collective troll, alright, you've earned your (You)s. Anyway the noise is what the "World's Finest Grain at ISO 400!"™ looks like. Pic proof provided.
>>3419260Thanks for the comments. I'll ask the next girl I photograph to wear no makeup. Your dislike for wide angle portraits is noted.
>>3419262Thanks for the bump.
>>3419320Thanks for the long and detailed comment. I've been photographing for a few years so don't imagine me as the underage kid, more like a repented natural light snob elitist. Portra 400 was overkill for strobes, but I didn't know it. I'll get some 160 if I'll still find it fun after the next couple of shoots.
>a touch hotAs I said I don't know what I'm doing, I wanted a sculpting look so I thought, let's position the light 5 cm away from his face for stronger light falloff. How is it done correctly?
>Female pics are better litYeah, I used an extra light for the background (the pink wall in my living room) copying that anon who got the "brush her hair!" responses.
>what you will come back toHa! I wish. I'm past the age where I can dream of making it in photography. It's purely for fun, and will keep being artsy and dramatic I guess. I'd rather photoshop as little as possible. Any way to reduce eye bags just with light setup? I don't know how to do that with ps.
Anyone else? I asked a friend to come over tomorrow, so any tips before that would be highly appreciated.
