here's a version with the highlights in the snow brought down so there's more detail. Plus a tighter crop.
it's shot on 55mm equiavlent, I had used a 105mm equiv lens but it compressed the foreground/background too much so there was not enough separation between the island and the shore. Too bad I already deleted the raws for that though. If anything, I was hoping to get a wider lens and bringing the camera higher up (imagine a ladder) would help separate the island more from the background, which was the original intention.
