A westerner will try pressure as much as he can for the lowest price for a given manufacturing quality, usually asking for something that’s not feasible.
A western manufacturer would tell him that it can’t be done, and that’s it.
A Chinese manufacturer will say ok, sign the contract and deliver less than agreed quality, what can be done for the price.
The westerners would be outraged, because he got a product which is of lesser quality than agreed, even though what was agreed was infeasible.
But for the Chinese that’s fine, because he didn’t *actually* cheat, in the end he delivered what he was paid for, even if the contract asked for something better.
The western way of doing business is to keep the contract to the letter, no matter what the contract says.
The Chinese way is to give you what you paid for, regardless what te contract says.
In the end, you can get a huge spectrum of quality in China, all the way to the very highest end. But if you try to “cheat” by pressing for a deal that’s too good to be true, to you’ll be the one to get “cheated” and you’ll get just what you paid for.
