Yeah I was wondering if this aesthetic is just pretentious born in or wrong generation shit or a valid aesthetic. I gave her a jewgle and mostly only saw self portraits I guess on images. Does she do anything else?

Mostly blatantly derivative from Dario Argento/Luciano Tivoli works from the 70s (like Suspiria); plus the lo-fi post processing that looks are easy to achieve and easily digestible; honestly everything I've seen by her but her family pics looks falsified, not in a sense of staged pics, but lacking any soul (and it sums up it nicely that she calls herself artist while mostly doing the opposite of art); remarkably though her family pics are very good, which goes to show she could be to be a good photographer bc she has talent nonetheless

I don't know any as I'm not much into following what's new, and it's hard enough to get good photographers under 30
For pushing boundaries though, I think there's yet to come someone to beat Ernst Haas and Miguel Rio Branco in color photography; as for b/w, Wolfgang Moersch is shooting mostly trees but it's beautiful

What you mean? They're all masters as well, especially Saul Leiter and Harry Gruyaert who might just be on same lv as the previous ones

Ernst Haas was the one to set the bar up there; not only that but he taught people how to do it

Thing about Miguel Rio Branco is that he's been able to make it by including people and packing color (like Alex Webb as well, but more intensely); his exhibits has big slides project continuously which (for me) brings color to another lv when viewing in person

Check out Curran Hatleberg, really like LaToya Ruby Frazier’s work, Peter Hujars stuff, An-My Lê, Tracey Baran, Paul Outerbridge I have a few more but my brain is fried

Egg, hass, Luigi pioneered the color work in the time where early twentieth century boomers used to laugh on color photographs
name one photographer who crossed the level Saul in terms of color and abstraction. saul pioneered a whole new genre of street imo, which i call "post-street" lol.

also the photogs you recommend are mostly documentary photogs and i posted street colorist
