Mostly because I'm familiar with LR and PS, but I still use the full purchased version, no subscription. Once I'm forced to buy in to the subscription model, I will absolutely switch.

I've only used davinci, because it have a free version and hey, I don't like piracy. Used it for like 6 month for just color correction and montage for hobbyist purposes. I dumped it for Premiere because I had frequent issues with not synched audio, unintuitive workflow and general low performance on my not really powerful desktop.
Premiere is, imho, the most user friendly, fast and effective way for basic editing. Probably it's not the same for professional user, but damn!

ok, I did the comparison, and it's not even funny. No point uploading samples. Adobes shit will maybe move few pixels around and quadruple file size. You need to really pixel peep way past 1:1 and check whole image to notice any changes. Conversion itself is fairly fast 5 sec. Interesting thing about it is that it can work after all the updates in cr are done to it. So if you dehaze the image before, it'll stay dehazed. Other than that, one of the most useless features I've ever seen. Topaz is flawed, introduces artefacts, and is barely useful tool, but at least it does something!

I tried a lot of programs some time ago but even in camera raw you get such different results depending on the colorprofile you use.

There's something that really pisses me off about Adobe, and it's a simple interface thing. You've great and often copied histogram in photoshop. Pick a spot, use arrow keys to accurately position it, or just flick it towards the corner to remove it. Would they copy that in Lightroom? No way! No key controls, no flicking it off, you have to right click and delete... Everyone else is copying Photoshop here, but in house program must do things differently!

I'm using capture one right now but DxO PhotoLab is my backup if phase one ever goes bankrupt (both programs have superior raw image rendering compared to adobes, rawtherapee and canon's own program etc)

I haven't tried on1 or luminar though

I mean, it's nice to have so many RAW editor options available, but it's also scary because some of them are literally made by a team of like 2 people so the uncertainty of how long the software will be kept up to date makes switching a little more spooky
