For those of you who want a photo/album from anyone but your own collection (particularly if downloading is disabled):
Look up and install Saleen Software's WebDownloader. Downloadair was nice but the fags at Flickr disabled the API since it allowed you to download your friends' photos.
You got 2 weeks from this post so make it count. You can even download entire groups with that program. Suck 'em dry for everything they have.
>>3436942>this argument againIf you haven't got 1000 photos you wish to show to the world, you're one of four things:
>A child/teen who hasn't got into photography fully yet>A crap photographer>Someone who should get out more>Someone who takes photography way too seriouslyI'm assuming most of you on this board have been taking photos for at least 10 - 15 years. 100 photos a year (that's one every 3 days) and you'd have around 1500 by now. I photograph because I like to look at nice things that I experienced. Vacations to exotic locales. Car shows. Lunar/solar events. I don't give a fuck about their quality and you shouldn't either. Your photo of a famous landmark or rare species will never be close to the best. Chances are when you were still in diapers (if alive at all), some Eurofag took his private jet to the country after having studied the weather forecast for the past several months, carrying a camera worth $10,000 and a whole bunch of ambient lights, hunkered down for 5 hours, then captured something that won awards. None of you will be this guy, nor should you want to be this guy.
A photo should take you 1 minute to capture at most. Time to get into position, to aim the camera, to set the camera up and to capture the photo. If it takes you any longer there's something wrong with your photography style. If you need anything that doesn't fit to the camera body i.e. huge fucking spotlights that illuminate the next square mile, you're not a fucking photographer period. You're a cinematographer and should study film-making.
