It uses almost an identical sensor to every other crop 24mp sensor out at the moment as sony sell that sensor to fuji, nikon and pentax.
Cameras have 3 settings, iso, shutter speed and aperture, your camera has all 3 of these, and it fits in your pocket. An evf makes it much easier to learn with than an ovf due to the wysiwyg display. Sony are good for the budget conscious because you can adapt many old lenses to them and they have a huge amount of 3rd party support.
There is nothing else to know, everything else is marketing guff.
