>>3454219> used to have a pass-me-down old canon that was good enough for me, but broke down and the repair costs aren't worth it especially considering my lenses are still fine. Was the Canon you previously used a digital (or at least autofocus)? If so, your best bet is to get another Canon DSLR you can use those lenses on.
https://www.keh.com/shop/cameras/digital-cameras/dslr/canon-digital.htmlThis is a good site for buying cheap used camera gear. In my experience, anything they sell of BGN quality or higher is gonna be great.
"Don't buy" tier: Original Rebel/300D, Rebel XT/350D, D30, D60 (note the side of the number that D is on), 1D. Those are cheap as hell, but they are shiiiiiit. Shit in ways that make them really obnoxious to use.
Usable tier: 20D, 30D, Rebel XTi/400D, Rebel XSi/450D, Rebel T1i, Rebel T2i, any other rebel without an 'i' after its name. 1D Mark II.
Actually good tier: 40D or anything higher, Rebel T3i and above, 7D, 5D, Any other 1D series camera.
Canon's naming scheme is that Rebels (or, in europe, xxxD) are the low-end bodies, double-digit bodies are midrange (like the 40d, 50d, 60d), and single-digit bodies (1D, 5D, 6D, 7D) are high-end. For the high-end bodies, the lower the number the better. For everything else, the higher the number the better. Usually you'll be better off with an older but higher end body, although if you don't really know enough to care, you can get a cheap Rebel for less than the equivalent xxD.
What lenses do you have, and what's your budget?
