Hello Guys! I am in the market for a new MIRRORLESS camera and have been hanging around /p/ for a while, I am getting the feeling that SONY is well endorsed in THIS community.

Why do you guys think SONY cameras are the BEST?

I've actually been considering getting a basedny a7iv when it came out since F mount is end of life and I didn't particularly like the Z7, but your constant fucking spamming convinced me to never ever spend a single dime on any Sony product before. I'm also boycotting films released by sony pictures.

A7ii user here, posting in rpt regularly but nobody likes my stuff so I'll give OP advice if he is being serious. It's a very good system for someone starting off and hasn't developed any brand loyalties.

If you got the $ the zeiss and sonnar lenses are fucking amazing. Very good for future proofing since the E-mount is very versatile. If you are on a budget there are tons of legacy lenses that can be used with adapters.

Idk, I personally like it. I could never get into the lo-fi subliminal artstyle that can be done with film and I dont have the time to learn it yet. Good luck with your purchasing choice.

I switched from canon t6i to sony a7ii. While the sony has alot more features + better image quality the canon is much more fun to shoot on. The menu system is great and the flip out screen is leagues above than the tilty screen on the a7ii. Idk they're both good cameras, theres no reason you can't get good photos with just about any modern camera.

I've used my Sony a7 iii professionally since September 2018. It's a wonderful all-around camera. Sony G Master glass is top notch. I don't regret switching from Canon.

Lol Sony is so above the other companies they made a fucking game console with their funds and still produced a camera that beats out the others in specs.

Canon should stick to printers and lenses, and Nikon should neck themselves. Leica is a lomography meme at this point. The rest should stick to lenses and keep it third party so adaptors can be made for E Mount.

We had a Canon large format demonstration unit at work last month. It was incredible and was light years ahead of any of the Epson or HP printers available. I'm hoping the company actually buys it.

Honestly, since the 90's, lens design has just been a case of plugging in the numbers and waiting to see that the cad spat out. Then building it with the cheapest raw glass you can get away with.
