>>3457633You seem confused. I have owned and used pretty much every brand of DSLR that is made - except for Olympus and Panasonic because I just never got into micro four-thirds (however, I might check out Panasonic's ff mirrorless). I am comfortable with a Canon in my hands, or a Nikon; either one is an equally competent system, although for different reasons. I like Pentax about as much as I like Fujifilm; both are cute for different reasons. I've sold all of my camera equipment to jump systems before and I've used two systems concurrently as well. All that said, I do think that mirrorless is the future, that full frame needs to be the only path forward for interchangeable lens cameras, and Sony is just doing that the best of all the other brands, currently. I'm open to having my mind changed. However, at this point, Sony making the best camera system is simply factual. No other way to say it.
I make no effort to hide the fact that I'm a gearfag, but you better not confuse me with a brandfag. The two are not mutually compatible. Most brandfags have not ever actually used any other brand than the camera they marry themselves to. Usually, the decision on what brand to marry comes before they even start photography. Sometimes it's motivated by money, but usually there are people in their lives who guide them or push them in one direction or another, and if they do get a chance to try another system, they can't help but come up with excuses why their preferred system is actually better. A gearfag enjoys the gear as much as, or even more than, the experience and result of the photography, so he goes out of his way to try other systems, at whatever cost.
I believe that most of the "sonygger posting" on this board is in fact falseflagging by canikon idiots who are scared of the world outside of their closed camera systems. Because the possibility that they might be wrong is fatal to a brandfag's ego, having based his entire personality around his brand of choice.
