you're much better off inverting the tonecurve and then editing from there..
seriously, you get much better results and more control than any of these presets will ever give you

fuck, fix one image, then create your own preset and apply to all others in the roll.
Little bit of research will be 100x more valuable than anything this preset will give you

negative lab pro does give out some consistent good results from what I tested myself. You can get the demo and see if it satisfies you enough, though learning to do it on your own makes it way easier so you know what to adjust when it doesn't give out a good result by itself

I've spent a long time recently learning how to do it fully manually using the LR -> PS workflow, I've got pretty good at it but holy shit I wish I knew about this. It really is a time consuming process and a total ball ache going into PS for every frame. Also sometimes it's hard to know if you've fucked up somewhere in the process or the negative itself is fucked, at least with something like this you have a consistent baseline to work with.

If you can afford to shoot film $99 really isn't much, looks like a great piece of software I'll probably buy after I check out the trial.

Am I the only one that thinks that the Frontier/Noritsu presets shift the blue hues towards cyan way too much compared to a real lab scanner?

It's how NLP converts by default, monitor calibration shouldn't have anything to do with it since I also see the green cast.

I have the worst of times with some negatives (mf/lf, v600 scanned). Will this help me? Is it worth getting lightroom for? I think I already have a vuescan license but don't really use it. Is there some trial version of lightroom that would be enough? I think I got some trial photoshop with a canon camera?

The magenta/cyan balance tends to get pretty weird on me sometimes

But you can fix that pretty easily either by tweaking the shadows/highlights sliders in NLP while you’re doing the conversion, or by playing with the vibrancy or saturation once it’s already converted.

That’s one of the things that bugs me with the conversion process though, when you make exposure adjustments -2 highlights will have a different colour balance than -3 highlights which means a fair bit of fiddling with most frames.

I tried it and it's not bad but it's still a rather manual process and does not guarantee much consistency for a given film type. I have a bunch of negatives that I really wanted (very yellow larches, very blue skies, green spruces) and it didn't get me anywhere close :(
