i'm tired of carrying around my 10 lbs behemoth called RB67, so i'm looking forward to buy this bad boy to get into portable medium format photography.
heard that the crash bar is a bit delicate on it so you have to handle it with care, but does somebody has experience with this camera?

it's not just the bar that's delicate, most of the camera is plastic.

i caught my strap on something walking around last year and it popped out on one side, the fall on cobblestone from waist height and put mine out of commission.

it was great while it lasted, but it's probably better to go for the later electronic fuji 645 bodies (even at the extra expense) unless you're really committed to babying it.

great camera, but after handling both I went with a GA645. much more robust body. i'd never think to throw a gs645s into a bag

Get a Mamiya 645, it'll feel just like a miniature version of your RB and carrying one around all day is no big deal.

It's a fun camera, doesn't feel fragile at all when I have it out. But if I toss it in my bag I try to cushion it a little and make sure I don't toss the bag on the floor or accidentally crush it. It is really lightweight though so it's not a big deal to carry it around.

I'd say before you buy the thing just make sure you're comfortable with the focal length. It's something like a 37mm on full frame terms. It's going to be the same as the 75mm lens on the RB67 if you have that.

I once ordered a GS645, the finder broke during shipping, even though the seller packed it carefully. Luckily he accepted return and refunded. I decided to pass on this model and got a GA645.
The fragility is very real.

I didn’t mean to suggest that it’s a normal expectation for a camera to survive that kind of knock, just that it could have been a lesser blow and I wouldn’t have much faith in a GS645S surviving.

It landed on the corner around the viewfinder which on a more metal built body might be somewhat salvageable, but on the gs645s the entire plastic top plate cracked open and the dinky plastic around the viewfinder broke off completely

Point being, handle with kid gloves or you can easily find yourself taking a wash on a not insignificant amount of money
