The 7artisans needs to be stopped down to 2-2.8 to become reasonably sharp and considering this, there is little point in lugging around such a heavy piece of glass. Alternatives (e.g. Summicron) are already sharp wide open. If you're not looking for speed, get an Elmar 50mm 2.8. It's a very good and compact (collapsible) lens.
