>>3475307Incidentally, that's another issue with trips, it creates this magical all or nothing thinking in people. You like isi (or at least dislike her less than moop) so all evils done anon must have been moop, when the reality is it was a mix of her aping her typing style and her being shit.
>>3475308Ah, look a trip has shown up to defend tripping, just without their trip on.
>If you don't understand the value a trip has to a creative board, you really do not belong on a creative board, and are a wasted drop of cum that spilled in from /b/ or /pol/.There can absolutely be value in a trip. I'm not denying that. Hell, we currently have one of the good ones posting a thread here. Look at lain who essentially only uses his trip for his own photo threads so we can get a feel for his work over the years.
Now, I suspect you think that trips also allow people to judge one's authority on the subject over time. I hope you're aware that arguments from authority are fallacies. This is because even authorities can be wrong. No one should take any feedback that's not backed up by convincing reasoning. As far as factual stuff goes, well, fucking google it. Don't trust this hell site to tell you whether or not oxygen is needed to stay alive. Anyway, back to the whole authority thing nothing that has ever been posted before affects how correct the post that you're reading now is. No amount of expertise guarantees that "you suck" or "you're awesome" comes from a reasoned reaction from the expert. It could well be an idiosyncratic blindspot for that person or something that they were taught incorrectly ages ago.
Additionally, those who post here often enough to have a trip recognized as an authority would just as easily have their photos recognized simply by their style. See Alex Burke.
Nothing of real value is accomplished by tripping. It just serves egos.
