What gear would you guys recommend aside from the camera itself if I want to set up the best photo studio in my home on a budget? Is buying one of those $200 kits on amazon with backdrops, lighting stands, etc decent enough or can you guys recommend me what to be looking at? Thanks

Definitely don’t obsess over camera and lenses, and gets some lights.
2 is a good start to try some different combinations of key and fill, but you might want a 3rd one to light the backdrop.
Same for modifiers, a softbox and grid is your main tool, maybe an umbrella too but if you have a tight space bear in mind they spill lots of light everywhere.

The amazon kits for backdrops and stands etc. are fine if you want something quick on a budget.
Maybe you can get somewhat better quality (sturdier stands etc.) if you get the pieces yourself, but they work just fine.

this is good advise. the best thing you can do is invest in lighting. You obviously want to take sexy pics of chicks on your bed. bedrooms have terrible lighting. 2 or 3 speedlights will go a long way in improving your images. A white and grey backdrop would be cool too but they wont look good without lighting. invest in lighting 1st. I like the flashpoint Li-ion rechargeables from adorama. get 2 or 3 of those with the controller and some umbrellas and post results. good luck anon
