The thing I like most about the original image is how bright it is and the contrast of the bird against the pale-green moss. You muppets keep ruining the color trying to make some moody, hot-topic photo for some pre-teen's goths-only Facebook group. Might as well slap some Marilyn Manson and Twenty One Pilots lyrics on there too. You both darkened the photo and you both muddied it as well. It isn't about subtlety, it is about leaving it alone. He didn't ask for his photo to be butchered by you /p/lebians; if you insist on doing so, at least have the decency to keep it on your computer where it doesn't have to be seen and is closer to the recycle bin icon, where it belongs.

I don't like either example (I don't stylize shots) but yeah, first dude went full retard. I think most of us experimented like that when we first got our hands on an image editing program though. The abominations I created in Jasc Paint Shop back in the day make me cringe.

That depends, black fucks with metering and auto balance modes, and is susceptible to colour cast from environment. Op would be considered overexposed and too green for my locations. Yet it's probably edited to what he saw, while I'm getting blue or red cast on the other side the world, on same birb.

Saw a crow eating a snake today, but couldn't get a shot because reasons.

First day of my vacation, and I found a Goshawk nest... awesome. Only the second one I have ever found. They aren't defending it yet, so not trying for any shots. I'll just leave them alone until the young hatch.

Gonna be a fun summer.

I saw a cat attacking a snaek yesterday, a cat attacking a mouse today, and decomposed rodent of some sort impaled on and left to dry on some fence in gnarly and preposterous manner. It's safe to assume the culprit was the same cat. I don't think it'd make a good picture, but it made for an entertaining day.
