Bought this baby on a flea market over the weekend for 1$. Ordered a charger online, hopefully it will be here by the weekend.

Anyone have any experience with this camera? I'm hoping to get some of that nice early 2000s CCD shitty cell-phone like aesthetic

Well at 2mp it should give you that aesthetic. Only have experience with a even worse Olympus Camedia C-820L with 0.3 mp lol.

Taking pictures of LED Texts such as advertisements makes weird effects. Other than that its as shitty and cute as you'd expect.

may I ask which SD card you use? I've tried some old and new ones but the camera wouldn't recognize them no matter what I tried

With a lot of older digital cameras. The maximum SD card is 2gb. So anything under 2gb will work.

hmm I tried with a 2 gig card but it didn't work. I'll buy a 512mb card over the weekend and give it a try

Make sure it's a basic SD card and not some fancy sdhc card. Also try formatting the card in camera.

yeah I formatted it in camera but I also used a PC program to reformat the SD card on the PC. During that I also renamed it to MINOLTA but I was wondering if it needs another name to function properly

I used the camera in a Canon before so it was stuck with the Canon_EOS name or whatever it was. Also wanted to make sure that the SD card was in the FAT not FAT32 extension because apparently that can cause problems sometimes

Its not the formatting of the SD card, rather the size that these old devices have issues with.
Most older devices only supported up to 2GB SD cards, if that. Find an old 256MB first generation SD card lying around, those worked well for these cameras.

Fuck, if I had known shitty CCD aesthetic would have been making a comeback, I'd have kept my 4MP-9R5 Medion snapshit from wayback when.

I had a Xg, that's pretty much the same camera but with 3 MP. It was pretty cool in an era where phone cameras were a joke, but now the photos I took with it mostly look like trash.

I had one of these, well a Dimage Xi when it came out. 3mp. Great photos for what it was back then. Way ahead of it's time with the periscope zoom. Same concept Huawei is using now on their flagship phone.

Hell, I had an older Agfa digital that didn't even take SD cards. 640*480 pics max res. Those were the days. Wish I still had it. I might stored away. I'll have to go dig for it at some point to see if I saved it. If I do I'll see if it still works. It took 2 AA batteries and plugged into the computer via a Serial interface if I remember correctly.
