You also have to remember good goy consumers where buying DSLR's before we had 1000$ phones to take selfies what your seeing is the SLR market contracting because not serious photographers can just use their phone to take shitty pictures instead of spending $800 on a DSLR that they shoot exclusively in AUTO and never change lenses.

Plus the ease of uploading straight to social media, not having to open up your computer to edit photos, and phones offer enough image quality when viewing on such tiny screens. The instant film trend has gone up substantially which I'm sure has affected the dslr market. Canon is coming out with one of those instant cameras.

The model numbers on cameras make no sense. The used market is also overpriced. If the used market is overpriced then it says that entry level product is priced too high and they're losing sales.
