The Kodak one I picked up for 50p in a charity shop and it's great for the basics of photography. I only keep this to lend it to people who are interested in starting photography. It's from 1982 though so focuses on film.
What makes photography great takes famous photos and explains what's so good about them. Some great stuff in there.
Black and White Handbook I've not read yet. Got it the other day.
PHotos that changed the world is more of a history book than a photo book but it has some great striking images for inspiration.
