1. People buying them want to try film and point and shoots are simple and easy ways to do it without lugging an old slr around and learning how to expose, focus and meter properly
2. This one has a zeiss branded lens which is a respected name that literally anyone even tertiarily informed about photography has heard.
3. These fixed lens P&Ss are slightly rarer than the millions of shitty travel zooms that boomers loved in the 90s and are littering goodwill shelves.
4. $400 doesn't seem like a lot for a camera to most people who are used to digital camera prices.
5. Some pros/film enthusiasts want to pay the terry tax.
