>>3483685Now that you mentioned it, maybe it is about my childhood. I grew up in a reasonably poor building complex in Brazil that resembles commie blocks very much. It had it all, the concrete with grass growing at the crevices, walls full of writing and tags, 5 of the exact same building with no elevator, only stair at the middle.
I don't miss living there because it was far away from the city and located in a kind of violent neighbourhood.
People sometimes make fun of me when I point out just how much Brazil can look like Russia sometimes.
I think maybe the places we used to go as kids were also very old and decaying. Some kid's park with half of the uh.. things... broken. Old skateparks with huge cracks that you had to avoid if you wanted to keep your teeth in your mouth.
I think I was trying to come up with something a little bit more reasonable but I guess it's just plain old nostalgia, really. I'm used to it, I guess.
