That fact that these photos pop up on your feed just goes to show what kind of shit you guys follow.
I'd suggest unfollowing all camera brand pages, all IG/youtube photography influencers (especially Sony shills) and follow actual photographers. Also make sure to click "See fewer posts like this " on photos in the Explore Tab that are like your pic related.

Pic related is my explore tab. All photography/art besides the occasional gear post and a few skateboard vids

Same. It’s just not worth it. You know what has been worth it? Going out to art events in my local community. Getting to know people. Applying to do an MFA in photography at a local university. Actually getting involved in the art world in real, concrete ways has moved my career immeasurably forward compared to all the time I spent immaculately crafting my instagram. Now I just use it to follow other artists and photographers and art galleries to find out about exhibitions and events.

I hate that instashit so God damn much.

I use IG to put my work there but I try to curate the content. Most of my pictures are on paper though, since I do print and darkroom. I use IG to show my work to friends and friends of friends. It's simpler than having my portfolio on me.
