Me too. But there is no doubt that film is harder to handle with developing/scanning yourself. But I do love developing film, it's therapeutic and It's nice to have a hobby that actually makes me think about what I'm doing rather than babying me the whole time. If you fuck up anything with film it's your own fault, no one else is to blame.

yep
film cameras had more variety in lens characteristics, style, and design, than modern generic digital designs.
film stocks, and development methods gave the photographer a lot more choice over the mood they wanted to create, while every digital camera uses more or less the same sensor.

modern cameras, lenses, and sensors are so generic everything looks pretty much the same now.

This. I don’t understand why people insist on hording film cameras. I use each of my six cameras at least once every couple of months. If I can’t see myself using it in the future, I’ll get rid of it.

I've owned both leicas and both the Contax G1 and G2 and honestly I prefer the contax.

I can't use rangefinders for serious work anyway since framing is always questionable. I have a Rolleiflex 6008 and Contax RX for when I care about framing

the limitations that analog brings are an advantage in some way. limitations are always beneficial and necessary in art. almost every artist, no matter what kind, agrees with that. only when they are in your way, limitations are bad. in this case it's film speed, which can stop you from taking a picture if there is not enough light, or can stop you from freedom regarding the other exposure settings. that's why i would always recommend analog for anyone who wants to start photography, it's much more intuitive and rewarding with the "missing" fourth variable.

I thought about it but Inwouldnt get shit for them and then I might have sellers remorse. When most of them are under $100 and lenses are everywhere for them, its stupid not to stockpile if you have the space. I have over 70 film cameras and over 100 lenses. I cycle between most of them regularly and ill probably never sell them. I have however given some to friends and such.

Same. I still hybrid shoot with my Sony gear, and I'll admit that my A7RIII is getting close to rivaling my MF and LF film equipment, but I don't ever have as much fun using it. Even though digital is technically better now, there's something to be said for having equipment that makes you want to go out and shoot even if it's limited.
