Mirrorless is here to stay. If anybody is buying a new camera now, they're better off going mirrorless unless they really need a DSLR for whatever reason. Only real reason I can think of is that the lenses are a bit cheaper and there's a better used market for them. Plus battery life.
And mirrorless lenses trend smaller than Canon lenses, especially the full frame EF ones. DSLRs are retired dad tier now.
