I think you may be trying to coax too much information. The full Moon is by definition bright, visually the surface features are relatively subtle. I've been observing and photographing the Moon for decades now. Don't get me wrong, it's a good capture but it doesn't look like the moon I see.
Anyhoo, I'm stoked for the Golden Anniversary. This sounds like bullshit but here goes:
