Like that photo that the other clueless anon talked about, the fashion is fine because who's to say the client isn't a mom/dad wear type of store.
With that being said, posing is quite different when it ranges from lifestyle to fashion. Your best bet is just looking at campaigns from different brands and seeing what works.
Also following a wide range of different portrait photographers and just digesting this type of material as a whole and practicing/putting it to use as much as possible.
