>>3496467The only thing worthwhile are the news segments, which is a combination of NikonRumors along with a few other brand-specific sites. The trouble I have with his gear reviews (and those of several others) is how hard they're in the tank for some of the brands. Jared's mainly a Nikon shooter (and so am I btw) but man his shill train on the last "Nikon invited me to shill their new shit" is just the same as everyone else's.
I get it, Nikon put everyone on the same airboat and drug them to the same shoots. Jared's 500mm PF video has the exact same b-roll as Northrup's Z6 video. They took, more or less, the same photos because they're sitting in the same seats using the same Nikon loaner rigs. Maybe it's jut me, but it seems like people are so biased on a sponsored gig, and companies are throwing dosh at these folks non-stop.
It just feels like people like Jared or Northrup or a few others have long since crossed over from "Photographer" to "Photography Influencer" as their main mode of income, or at least a non-trivial side piece of their biz. Once you go there, you just become so much more beholden to the vendors - or worse, just one or two brands.
