Taking a 2nd trip to Hawaii & don't want the bother of lugging around my dslr & different lenses but want to be able to take some halfway decent pics....

Suggestions on decent point & click I could pocket carry. Pic relevant from 1st go round in 04

Use your cellphone if you have to ask that question. I take my gear in my carry on whenever I travel to the states.

Go to your local camera store and have a look around. For snapshits use your phone. The only reason to have a small point and shoot these days is for optical zoom and raw files. Once you've figured out new cameras are expensive go to Bestbuy and buy an old (ish) camera that will fit in your pocket. Don't spend more than $50.

Comparable to fullframe f/4.9 at the wide end and and fullframe f/7.6 at the tele end.
Even this shot was significantly wider than everything available on the RX100 series.
