>>3502817Cool cameras but I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on a digital. On film cameras, a reliable and easy to fix body means a camera that keeps going for 30-40 years with proper maintenance.
On digital, what’s the point of mechanical reliability and repairability, when the electronics as just as unrepairable and (un)reliable as any other digital?
The only bad thing is, nobody cares to make *really* simple and uncluttered cameras. “”””Features”””” are cheap to implement, just outsource the firmware to some Indians to add all kinds of menus and indications and settings and viewing options and filters and and and...
Cause why not? It costs you next to nothing compared to hardware and it’ll keep the YouTube shills busy showcasing that shit.
For example, take the X100. Nice optical (hybrid) viewfinder. But even in optical mode, there’s all kind of projected shit cluttering the vf, that takes 10min of menu diving to deactivate *some* of them.
I don’t wanna see if I’m shooting fine Joey or whatever in my fucking viewfinder, I set it beforehands.
I don’t give a fuck about the battery level when i’m Composing, either there’s enough battery for a shot or there isn’t.
I don’t care to see how many shots I have left in my SD card, either there is space for a shit or there isn’t, i can check what’s left inbetween shots.
I don’t care about modes or presets or whatever else *while* taking the shot. I set that beforehands.
I jut want to see the framelines, aperture and shutter (and maybe iso), and that’s it. It’s a shame that such a nice viewfinder only looks best when the camera is turned off.
