The tree bits at the top are kind of distracting, too. It's a nice idea, though.
The tree roots make it. This might have been better as a landscape, IMO.
If you could help it, I'd say get rid of the "UCLA" lettering and the visor.

I'm guessing this was a lot cooler in person. I make that mistake a lot myself. Better gear might solve it with lighting, but then I don't know what you're using.
