>>3512311It does reduce camera shake, causes less EVF blackout/freeze, and usually allows you to have 1-2 stops shorter exposure time than mechanical shutter, like up to 1/16000, although that does not help capture ultra-fast motion due to rolling shutter.
Note that a mechanical focal plane shutter also produces rolling shutter effects, they're just usually less pronounced (ie mechanical shutter typically takes 4-5 ms to travel across the frame, while electronic scanning can take 8 ms or it can take 100 ms depending on how shitty the implementation is)
