>>3514180That should get you close to 1:1 and it will be really good. I keep a reverse ring on my 50mm all the time (pic). That way I can flip it around real quick if I need macro. The ring doesn't affect normal photography other than give normal photos more contrast by acting like a short lens hood. Just keep in mind that each lens is different. With any electronic aperture you'll need to get an manual aperture adapter to change the f-stop. Though, if it is spring loaded you can monkey with it yourself to sorta get the f-stop you want, but an adapter will help a lot.
I think my most used things for macro are reverse ring and bellows.
