Time-Life Library of Nations are reportage, and then you've some high quality photo art books in Library of Photography collection.
Accompanying text is in the line of National Geographic, simple and for the laymen, it's the pictures that warrant study, and are of extremely high quality. Even more so than nat geo, who put the moment before artistic and optical quality.
