I went island hopping with a small local motorboat to snorkle then my A6K always showed an annoying popup error for a few days. It turns out the hot shoe came contact with sea water and so I advise A6K owners to put the hot shoe cover during wet conditions.

Mount the cheap kit lense and wrap it in foil, mount a UV-filter on the lense and shoot pictures with it.

Hell, yes! I photographed primarily high school seniors for nearly 30 years, and I'd estimate that 40% of my location sessions included a trip to the beach. I've even had my RB67 on a Bogen tripod out in waist-deep water. Gear id's made to be used, not pampered!
