It reminds me of all the times I showed someone (usually total beginner or non photog) a shot and they immediately seem to think it's so impossible for them to learn or that they could just do it with no effort because the "expensive camera" does all the work for you. The focus ought to be on learning the basics on how to shoot rather than spending a fuckton on gear like your favorite youtube personality thinking you'll just as well get the same results when shooting.
I always laugh now when I hear the "nice pic you must have an expensive camera!"(jokes on them my rebel is old and cheap af lol) but anyway it's like having a home cooked dinner then complimenting the host for their expensive oven rather than for the person's cooking skill itself.
Remember when some /p/hotogs here got buttfrustrated when some users refused to show exif?
