Also if Eggy was as a party or gig, it's because he was invited as a photographer, by the people running the event. You have no idea how difficult it really is to get him to shoot your event. Many have tried. I have. Money is irrelevant. By offering to pay you almost guarantee he will say no because he doesn't want to have a contractual relationship. "Make sure eveyone knows I'm coming, feed me some drinks, and understand that I'll just leave at any time. The photos will be whatever they are." is his usual conditions. So unless he knows you quite well, and knows that you as the organiser will back him up 1000% as the event photographer he just doesn't even consider it. Even just the wrong location or crowd is enough to make him refuse outright.
I was there when he was at one gig, and got invited to shoot another gig by a girl attendng. Despite reluctantly accepting, and attending the second gig, he left within about an hour i guess. "Because people were being weird and making it impossible to shoot anyone who wasn't looking like a shitcunt" was his explanation when I asked later.
The dude is a serious hermit, so there is no way he would ever just roll up to a gig, or party, never mind the numerous teenage girls parties he's shot. He's been invited, has been reluctantly talked into it, and spends most of his time talking shit with the parents.
Anyone suggesting otherwise is just bullshitting because it gets them virtue signal points with their metoo cunt club.
