Foreground is very dark and there s no balance between ground and sky. It just ends up feeling claustrophobic, although she s in the open air.
Maybe a lower angle with more sky, and more background could feel like she s looking at what awaits her, contemplating possibilities, etc.. Here it s mainly grass, which looks bad on most digital cameras
Often times you find a good subject, but not a good shot. It s good to try anyway but it seldom works.
Also please don't fall into the trap of intellectually justifying your work after the fact. It saves face but doesn't help you grow. Even a sincere idiot can tell when it's good.
