* At low ISO with good glass MP wins if the MP difference is large. A 24mp 80D isn't going to produce better IQ than a 22mp 5D3, but a 32mp crop sensor will. Likewise a 24mp crop is going to out perform a 12mp FF.
* At high ISO FF wins regardless of MP, and even if the FF is a couple generations older.
* High MP FF is the ultimate. Once you've worked with FF 50mp files (or 42, 45, 47, 61mp) it's hard to go lower MP or smaller sensor. The detail is fucking phenomenal. And it's a meme that high MP performs poorly at high ISO. It does great.
>>3525070I can't tell you if the 4k video output is going to be any good. All I can say is that the leaks point to full sensor width 4k with DPAF. Perhaps they're wrong or misleading, but that's what it looks like right now. Nobody knows if they gimped 24p as the sheets only list the max fps. For FHD it only lists 120 fps (for example). And no one knows if they're line skipping, binning, over sampling, etc. We'll just have to wait and see.
For stills I love Canon. For video...they have been dragging ass.
