That said it doesn't seem likely for AF, Fuji is possibly years behind on that end. Also not too likely for sensors in general. The various Sony patents and manufacturing capability probably will not be something they can beat.
Maybe they can deliver comparable or marginally better IBIS and eventually get some decent lenses that don't cost even more than the far better FF lenses on Sony's E-mount? Or maybe they make a nicely API enabled open source operating system for their camera, or something. Not that they usually had the better computer hardware either.
Actually, Fuji really mostly lived on their camera builtin lookup tables and effects for "film simulation", didn't they...? Maybe they can keep riding that one.
