Configure one of the manual profiles to shoot with flash (force ISO 100, buff the flash exposure by like 0.7 stops or something, maybe set fixed color balance to the flash color).

Maybe prepare some extra storage on your NAS if you haven't already.

there's absolutely no use for you to be sinking all the money into that camera. you could have easily stuck with what you had and either invested the money so you can collect a dividend or used your old camera to make some money on the site.
an old photographer who mentored me told me to only buy new gear with the money that the old gear makes.

This doesnt apply across the board. I see what hes saying though. Hes of the mentallity that a hobbyist shouldnt be dumping into higher end equipment if nothings going to come out of it other than hobbyist photos. If hes going to spend the money, only he has to worry about it and hope it doesnt have more shelf time than its worth.

I had a T2i for years and I upgraded to an A7R2
I kept the canon of course

I have some sony lenses and some adapted canon lenses
for wide angle I got the 17-35mm L, it works pretty well and it's cheap (under $400) if you can find a good one.

What a great deal - from a relatively outdated (you really wouldn't need more unless you're a professional) but really good camera to one which would be completely overpriced because of being quite new but which actually might be shit. Have fun with the extremely goofy looking adapters, maybe you'll find another compromise engraved on the inside of an adapter which would apparently fit well.^^ lmao
