If you want better lowlight performance, you just need a larger sensor, there's no other way around it. You could sell just the 56mm and get a 2nd hand a7ii, which has full frame for twice as good low light AND ibis, which can regain up to 5 stops! That's the difference between iso 400 and iso 12800, If you're not shooting moving objects.
