Are mirrorless cameras a pain when using studio strobes or am I missing something? When I use my Sony A7ii in manual mode with a manual lens (with aperture ring) and set it to an aperture suitable for the studio flashes, the electronic viewfinder is dark as hell, even if I cranc the flashes modelling light up to maximum. For focusing I either have to temporarily pump up the ISO setting or open the aperture. But to set this back and forth again and again is annoying. Are optical viewfinders superior in the studio when using flashes?
