taking pics at concerts was a great time, but I stopped because paying for all those train tickets to get to the concerts was too much

and I lost all my old photos because of stupid reasons
so when I need some of my old pics I have to go to my 500px page and download the one I need

I can relate... when I started taking photos of concerts and gigs it was by my expense, so I'd make sure I wasn't wasting money on a concert that I wouldn't like and that my photos would be a good additional of the price I've paid.

I was mostly shooting some smalls venues with some folks I knew that would mind

I have never brought my camera to a concert, takes me out of the moment.
Though I brought my 35mm Prime Fuji a while back to one of Wednesday Campanella's concerts here, she was an absolute blast to listen to and great entertainer.

Japan does concerts right, you're allowed to get up real close to the singers

Japanase concerts are always looking good, nice you get real close to the artist on stage.

you're doing great with a X100F, I'm mostly working with my X100T. love that camera.

About telefoto, if you're using a Fujifilm system, maybe a 90mm will get you some very good results. if Canon or Nikon, any 70-200 f4 will be your friend.
