NGL It's always been my secret dream job to live in the mountains and modify Pro-grade SLR bodies to become single use firearms.
I would delicately gut them and secure a firm metal tube behind the mirror. Since the mirror assembly would still be intact you could aim the device with the viewfinder. When the shutter is pressed under the right configuration the mirror would lift, the primer would be struck and the high calibur rifle round would travel through the lens, shattering the single element of weak glass and striking your target with a rather large margin of error depending on the distance. The camera would likely explode but that's not the kind of situation the cameraman is getting out of anyways.
The device would be only valuable to a specific few, but it's ability to go unoticed would be unrivaled.
