brehs, at my local vintage market this last weekend I found a Yashica Electro 35 and a Konica c35 Automatic. Both had broken, but I'm pretty sure repairable, advance mechanisms, and were in very good aesthetic condition, with no scratches or other damage to the lenses, nothing missing/broken off, etc...
The c35 was for $45 and the Electro 35 was for $25. Assuming no mechanisms are just totally busted, I can probably do the repairs myself. My question; would it be easily profitable to buy, repair, and resell these? I'm not talking actual worth, I'm talking hipster film-revival worth, because that shit is hitting hella hard rn. I know the c35 Auto is a fun little camera, half-way range finder/point and shoot, but I have no experience with the Electro 35. What're the ergos on it? It felt heavy as fuck, like I could probably bean somebody over the head with it for self defense.
I also have a soft spot for broken film cameras that need to be fixed. I'd really rather just buy them and give them to my friends than see them tossed... but I'm in a poorfag stage rn, so I need to justify it to myself a little better before buying.
