you're not a professional photographer unless you shoot those flagship DSLR or a MF camera in studio.

if you're shooting a m43, a fuji or aps-c. you'll never be a professional photographer.

This. There is no accredited professional or regulatory organization for photographers. There is no exam you must pass to qualify. There are no fees you must pay to register. It is not a profession in the strict sense of the term. In the sense that most people use it, "professional photographer" = remenerated.

People would understand this clearly if they had to pay a regulatory body $1000 every year to maintain their licensure. On top of paying insurance for malpractice. None of which are required of "professional" photographers.
