Remember when no one on the board could tell the difference between MFT and FF shots when challenged? Ever notice how the autist(s) that constantly masturbate about ISOs that no one ever uses love to show noise performance comparisons from DP Review studio scene but only at 300% zoom and even then it's not even a big difference? Well, that's the Weber-Fechner Law at work.

Human perceptive faculties tend to register noticeable stimulus differences logarithmically. What this means for photography, specifically when comparing camera systems, is that it takes roughly a 10x difference in some aspect of IQ to be immediately perceptible by a casual viewer, i.e. resolution, noise, dynamic range.

Essentially, the Weber-Fechner Law describes why for the vast majority of photographic capture display (with very few edge cases), the output of a current generation Micro Four Thirds sensor produces IQ that is virtually indistinguishable from larger sensors unless intentionally extreme scrutiny or massive enlargements are involved.

So, what do you think this means for the price/performance proposition of competing systems when the next generation of MFT sensors release in the next Olympus and Panasonic flagships in 2020? Why would anyone deal with the significantly more expensive, large, and heavy lenses of their competitors?
