It was sold as broken cause the shutter didn't work. Warmed it up a bit in the oven and kept activating the shutter while it cooled down. Now it works like a charm.
That's a common issue, the resin and oils can seize over the decades.

In good working condition, they're around 30-50€ including the lens.

Don't even have to use the EVF for snapshitting
Small and lightweight
Take it wherever, pull it out real quick and then forget about it
Cheap enough to not worry about
Good IQ for editing later on if need be

m8 just the Jupiter-3 lens is over 100$ even in contax mount, probably more for ltm. It's usually closer to $200.

The market value of the jupiter 8 is 20-30$ while the jupiter 3 is 150-200$. That's an order of magnitude difference.
Also those listings were from international sellers.
