what are some cheap slr's popular enough to find on my local used shit website? i want to try out 35mm and i don't know what camera i should look for. what are your recommendations? pic unrelated

i don't have a fixed budget but plan on cheap as possible. can you give me multiple options at different price points please?

Old manual focus? Minolta ST-T series. 100% mechanical but there’s a good chance what you find won’t have a working meter. Batteries are hard to find too. Still though, built like battleships with a good lens catalogue.

Newer AF? Get a canon 35mm body and an EF 50mm f/1.8. There’s some really nice ones you might drop $75 on (a2e, etc) and also film rebels that no one wants and can be had for cheap.
