Friend has a prograf and it's great but a set of inks costs $1000 for the small version (150ml or so) and $2000 for the big version.
And also there was tons of drm-like bullshit lockups, not just with the inks but also the printing head. He had to buy a chink accessory to reset the printhead cause the printer would lock up and give him errors, even though the nozzle check patterns would print fine after resetting.
Same for the "maintenance tanks" which are essentially canon branded empty plastic boxes with some padding for $50, their only purpose to accept drained (wasted) ink when you clear the lines of you need to move the printer.
